About Us

Values & Ethos

At the heart of Luddenden community, this Church of England primary school provides a safe, creative environment where children are inspired, enthused and equipped to fulfil their potential and go out into the world and make a difference; where individuality is embraced, talents unleashed and a love of learning is ignited.

In accordance with our guiding Christian values, our school is focused on providing the very best for its community and shows this commitment by promoting an environment where we;

  • trust and support each other to do our best
  • inspire confident and independent learners
  • make excellence the standard and reward success
  • nurture health, self-respect and achievement
  • celebrate difference, innovation and courage
  • enjoy learning every day

Diversity & Inclusion

We see your age, experience, gender, (dis-)abilities, sexual identity, ethnicity and beliefs as vital to our continued success. We believe in creating a school where everyone feels welcome to contribute their ideas and true self. We take inspiration from revolutionary figures and find strength in combining our individual traits to fulfil our purpose. We welcome you for you, no matter where you come from, what you can or can’t do or who you love.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning*
Pupils at Luddenden CE School come from a variety of backgrounds and families. We celebrate equality and diversity through a range of PSHE activities and through cross-curricular links with other subjects. Celebrating different families and tackling homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying is crucial to making all children feel welcome and enabling them to learn to accept others for who they are. *Please note that there is an asterisk on LGBTQ as we are aware that there are other definitions of this.

Our Policies & Statutory Information

As a school, we are required to provide access to a number of statutory documents and information. Our website provides access to all this information and is primarily designed as a resource for parents. For this reason, some of the required information is located in the body of the website. For your convenience, the table below provides details of and access to further statutory and non-statutory information. If you can’t find what you’re looking for please contact the school office.

Learning Accord Multi-Academy Trust

On 1st January 2024, we converted to an academy and became a proud member of Learning Accord Multi-Academy Trust. Becoming an academy and joining the trust means that we are able to use the freedoms and flexibilities of academy status to share best practice, access additional support and work with the trust to bring about even further improvements across all Learning Accord schools.
